Pau D 'Arco, NOW Foods

Pau D 'Arco (The bark of the ant tree) is the inner layer of the bark of the Tabebuia trees, which grow in the tropical forests of the Amazon.
For centuries, the bark of the ant tree has been used by Latin American Indians for various inflammatory and cold diseases. The bark contains active substances - lapachol and xylidine, which inhibit the activity of viruses and bacteria and increase the body's resistance to bacterial and fungal infections.
In addition to strengthening the immune system, the bark of the ant tree has an anti-inflammatory effect, supports digestion, and protects cells from damage by free radicals.
